To modify a molecule, you can move selected portions of the molecule around on the XY plane or parallel to the Z axis by simple click and drag motions of the mouse. Also, you can position the molecule on the screen in a different orientation by using the items in the Move menu. You can rotate the molecule or part of it around any one or up to three orthogonal axes. Or you can align a bond along the X axis so that you can paste a functional group to the molecule. It is also possible to reflect part or all of the molecule through different planes or invert it through the origin. You can also center part of the molecule in the middle of the Worksheet by moving a selected atom to the origin. The Cut, Copy and Paste features make it easy to save portions of molecules and paste them into other structures or to another position on the screen.
